When you contact us, sign up for updates, volunteer, donate, complete a survey, RSVP for an event or otherwise engage with this campaign, we may collect personal information such as your name, contact details, suburb, areas of interest, and any information you choose to provide.
We collect this information so that we can:
communicate with you about the campaign and issues affecting the Footscray community
respond to your enquiries and requests
organise volunteers, events and community activities
process donations and comply with electoral and other legal obligations
better understand the issues that matter to our community and improve our engagement
keep you informed about campaign news, policies and opportunities to get involved.
If Jess Marsh is elected as the Member for Footscray, the information you have provided may also be retained and used to communicate with you about parliamentary work, local issues, community consultation, events, advocacy, and constituent services. This helps us maintain an ongoing relationship with the community and continue listening to local voices.
Your personal information will not be sold or provided to third parties for commercial purposes. We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us to operate the campaign or fulfil legal obligations, including email, website, fundraising, event management and database providers. Those providers are required to handle your information securely and only for the purposes for which it was provided.
Some information, such as political donations above applicable disclosure thresholds, may be required to be disclosed under Victorian electoral laws.

You may unsubscribe from campaign communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. You may also request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you.
Although political candidates and elected representatives are exempt from certain provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), this campaign is committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently and in accordance with privacy best practice.
